How to Use the Eisenhower Matrix

To use the Eisenhower Matrix, write a list of all the tasks you need to get done and then categorize each task into one of the following categories:

1. Important and urgent:
Project deadlines, emergencies, and problems. The strategy is to do it first and do it now.

2. Important and not urgent:
The action step is to schedule it and decide when to do it as soon as possible.

3. Urgent and not important:
